The UX-221A amplifier offers 2 x 3400 W and incorporates the latest in Class D power amplification. A high efficiency, low consumption universal power supply with Power Factor Correction (PFC) allows for fail-safe use worldwide. State-of-the-art electronic design such as the fixed frequency switch mode output stage provides for the highest grade of audio accuracy. A comprehensive set of “smart” protections include thermal, over current, short circuit and overload on the output, clip limiter and high frequency protection keeping the amp and acoustic components safe.
The enclosure is constructed using 21 mm Birch plywood and makes use of extensive bracing to eliminate resonances. The woodwork is finished with the robust D.A.S. ISO-flex protective coating for durability. A dolly platform with locking casters denominated the PL-221S is offered to stack and move the systems. Protection during transport is provided by the optional covers available from D.A.S.
